چکیده
Recently, there has been a resurgence in the adoption of lightweight cold-formed steel (CFS) profiles as structural elements low- to mid-rise modular construction. Typically, openings for doors and windows are ever-present front rear elevations where shear walls find their optimal position ensure lateral stability CFS structures. These architectural design features translate into reduced areas load resistance throughout structure. This paper discusses performance framed with under loads through experimental tests numerical simulations. Overall, three wall typologies were designed force transfer around opening (FTAO) tested monotonic (nine total). An advanced finite element analysis (FEA) modelling protocol was elaborated simulate behaviour well interpret physical tests. Evaluation test results validated FEA that demonstrated be reliable predicting strength stiffness failure modes subjected loads. Cold-formed steel (CFS) shear walls with concrete-filled rectangular steel tube (CFRST) columns as end studs can upgrade the performance of mid-rise CFS structures, such as the vertical bearing capacity, anti-overturning ability, shear strength, and fire resistance properties, thereby enhancing the safety of structures. A theoretical hysteretic model is established according to a previous exper...
